CALIFORNIA PRIVACY NOTICE

Your privacy rights as a California resident under the CCPA and CPRA.

KarLev adopts this notice to comply with the California Consumer Privacy Act ("CCPA"), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act ("CPRA"), and other applicable California privacy laws. Terms defined in the CCPA have the same meaning when used in this notice.

The CPRA provides California residents ("Consumers") with specific rights regarding their personal information. Consumers may exercise, under certain conditions, the following categories of privacy rights. You will not be discriminated against for exercising any of the rights described below. This means KarLev will not deny you Products or Services, charge you different prices, or provide a different level or quality of Products or Services because you exercised your privacy rights.

RIGHT TO KNOW / ACCESS AND DATA PORTABILITY

You have the right to request that KarLev disclose the following information about our collection and use of your personal information over the preceding 12 months:

  • the categories of personal information we collected about you;
  • the categories of sources from which that personal information was collected;
  • our business or commercial purpose for collecting, selling, or sharing that personal information;
  • the categories of third parties with whom we share that personal information; and
  • the specific pieces of personal information we collected about you (a "data portability" request).

RIGHT TO DELETE

You have the right to request that KarLev delete personal information we collected from you, subject to certain exceptions. Once we receive and verify your request, we will delete (and direct our service providers and contractors to delete) your personal information, unless an exception applies.

We may deny a deletion request where retention of the information is necessary to:

  • complete a transaction, provide a Product or Service you requested, or otherwise perform a contract with you;
  • detect security incidents or protect against fraudulent, deceptive, or illegal activity;
  • debug our Website to identify and repair errors;
  • exercise free speech or another right provided by law;
  • comply with the California Electronic Communications Privacy Act;
  • engage in public or peer-reviewed research in the public interest, where deletion would impair that research and you previously provided informed consent;
  • enable internal uses reasonably aligned with your expectations based on your relationship with KarLev;
  • comply with a legal obligation; or
  • make other lawful, internal uses compatible with the context in which the information was provided.

RIGHT TO CORRECT

You have the right to request that KarLev correct inaccurate personal information we maintain about you, taking into account the nature of the information and the purposes of processing.

RIGHT TO OPT OUT OF SALE OR SHARING

KarLev does not sell personal information for monetary payment. KarLev's Website may use advertising technologies, such as tracking pixels, that share certain technical and identification information with third-party advertising platforms for cross-context behavioral advertising, which may be considered "sharing" under the CPRA.

You may opt out of this sharing at any time by:

  • clicking the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link located in the footer of the Website;
  • using a browser or device-level Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, which KarLev will honor as a valid opt-out request; or
  • contacting KarLev directly using the information below.

RIGHT TO LIMIT USE OF SENSITIVE PERSONAL INFORMATION

Where KarLev collects sensitive personal information, you have the right to direct KarLev to limit its use to that reasonably necessary to perform the Products or Services requested.

EXERCISING YOUR RIGHTS

To exercise your rights to know, delete, correct, or request data portability, submit a verifiable Consumer request by:

  • calling us at (747) 877-8761;
  • emailing us at info@karlev.co; or
  • writing to us at 15821 Ventura Blvd., Suite 625, Encino, CA 91436, United States.

Only you, or someone registered with the California Secretary of State and authorized to act on your behalf, may submit a verifiable request on your behalf. You may also submit a request on behalf of your minor child.

You may make a verifiable request for access or data portability up to twice within a 12-month period. Your request must provide enough information for KarLev to reasonably verify your identity and describe your request with sufficient detail for us to understand, evaluate, and respond to it. Submitting a request does not require you to create an account with KarLev.

RESPONSE TIMING AND FORMAT

KarLev will endeavor to respond to a verifiable Consumer request within 45 days of receipt. If additional time is needed (up to 90 days total), we will notify you of the reason and extension period in writing. Disclosures will cover the 12-month period preceding the request. If we cannot comply with a request, our response will explain why.

FEES

KarLev does not charge a fee to process or respond to a verifiable Consumer request unless it is excessive, repetitive, or manifestly unfounded, in which case we will explain why a fee applies before proceeding.
