Efficiency by construction, not just by spec
A high-performance envelope on paper doesn't matter if it isn't built to that spec. Karlev fabricates its patented aluminum spaceframe on a 6-axis robotic line to ±0.5mm tolerance, so the insulated metal panels seat against a structure that's actually straight. The finished envelope, R-24 exterior walls and R-41 roof under insulated metal panels, delivers up to 40 percent above-average insulation performance and holds it for the life of the building.
Right-sized homes, on land that already exists
The most sustainable house is the one you don't have to build. Karlev units go on lots that already have roads, utilities, schools and neighborhoods, so a 400 to 1200 SQFT unit adds a full home without adding a new subdivision. Density on existing lots is one of the highest-leverage climate moves a city can make, and ADUs are how it actually gets built.
Solar-ready by default
Every Karlev roof is engineered around a solar array from day one, no penetrations added later, no retrofits. Combined with an energy-efficient single or dual-zone mini-split, a tankless water heater and Marvin Elevate double-pane argon-filled low-E glazing, the standard unit is set up to run close to net-zero on annual energy when a homeowner adds panels.
